This September, our Keynote Interview is with the always awesome, John Riordan.
John Riordan is Chairman of Grow Remote and is based in Cork. He recently retired as Director of Support for Shopify, having also served as Chairman of Shopify International Ltd. John led a variety of different customer support teams for Shopify, including groups in Ireland, Lithuania, Sweden, Canada as well as the Philippines, Japan and China. All of John’s teams worked from home, a business model he has been an evangelist for over the last 20 years in the US, UK and Ireland.
In addition to being on the board of three start-ups, John also serves on the board of the Sanctuary Runners, the IRFU Commercial & Marketing Committee, and recently finished a three year term as President of the Rockwell College Union, .
John spent much of his career in the US – working for Apple, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Arise Virtual Solutions and US Airways. In 2010 John and his family returned to his hometown of Cork with his wife, son and daughter – and he splits his time between Cork City and Mizen Head.
