How to start
The aim of Grow Remote is to enable us to work, live and participate locally. To do this, we make remote work (employment as opposed to freelancing or entrepreneurship) visible and accessible locally.
When companies employ location-less, they help our communities survive and thrive. And so, we have a community of remote leaders and community advocates to help you to transition remote, and hire when you are remote.
If you’re already remote, we’d like to make your jobs more visible to our communities, You can list your job on our jobs board, take part in an AMA, or just tag us when you’re hiring and we’ll get the word out to our communities. Getting involved in Slack is the best way to do this.
If you’re considering making the transition, we really want to help you. We know you don’t want hype or to be sold products, so within our community, we’ll introduce you to the people who are doing remote on a daily basis. They can speak to HR issues, risks of remote, health and safety, insurance, and all the things you want assurance on.
We can also introduce you to a set of remote transformation experts we know and trust.
Want to dive straight in? Pick one of the options to get started. In the meantime, below are the most common and useful resources the companies within our community use.
Anything else?
We’ll help you at every step of the way as you make the transition to remote, or learn if it’s for you. Below are practical resources our community have found useful. Please do let us know if there’s anything missing.
