Grow Remote Jobs Club, next meetup, Wednesday March 10th – 6:30-pm
At this event we will hear from:
- Joseph Farrelly, Guidance Counselor – Joseph has built up a wealth of knowledge around the job seeking process and is excited to share this knowledge with the group
- Susana De Sousa of Loom – Susana is the Senior Manager of Support at Loom, where she runs a globally distributed team. Having previously helped build the Payments Support team for Europe & APAC at Airbnb, she’s actively recruited and onboarded new teammates over the past few years, often fully remotely. Her home office is currently in Portugal, where she’s also a part of the Portuguese Women in Tech community.

Finding a job can be tough, we’re here to help!
Grow Remote supports people in a number of ways in the remote job hunt.
For our community in Ireland, you can find our jobs board here and a fully funded training course (for job seekers) here called Remote Work Ready.
We host a monthly meetup online called the Grow Remote Jobs Club, sign up for the newsletter below to receive invites to the events.
We also have a channel in our Slack community dedicated to the jobs club where you can ask questions, find resources, and speak to others on the remote job hunt.
To join our Slack* click this link, this is a network of professionals who are happy to help each other (but it’s important to show that you’re putting in the effort too).
*Slack is a communication platform, it’s free to sign up and you can use it on your computer or mobile device. Don’t worry, we were all a bit lost when we started using it first. In the Grow Remote community there is no such thing as a silly question, ask for help and educate yourself. Here’s a great intro video to Slack.
A Free Mini-Course for your job hunt
Finding a job is challenging enough, and there are so many steps to take for success. Technology is changing and if you really want to get the great job you’d love, it will require effort (you are so worth it!).
They do say finding a job is a job in itself (and for a good reason, there is lots involved).
We have gone through the process and laid out the steps needed in finding and applying for an online job. While this might not be the most comprehensive course covering the online job application process, it does have lots of really useful information and saves you having to figure out it all by yourself.
But there is a catch, we want to you let us know how you are getting on, come and get involved in the conversation in the #Grow-Remote-Jobs-Club channel in our Slack, share what you’ve learned or figured out, help others as others help you.
Good luck and see you on the path!
